For hunters considering Wyoming's Unit 100 in South Wamsutter, it's important to note that non-residents don't need a guide for BLM wilderness study areas; this requirement only applies to United States Forest Service designated wilderness. Experienced hunters suggest that land access isn't overly challenging here, but utilizing tools like OnX Maps can help navigate areas with private livestock holdings. Deer numbers and buck quality may vary, but venturing away from areas accessible by ATVs and UTVs can help reduce hunting pressure and possibly increase your chances of a successful hunt. If evaluating whether to use a single mule deer point here, weigh this consideration alongside feedback on unit-specific terrain and deer populations compared to other prospective units, like Unit K.
