This area is also known as the Beaver Creek hunt area, and has a lot of BLM land with private property to the west around Lander.For nonresidents, this area is part of Region L and tags drawn for this area are also valid in: 92, 94, 128, 148, 171

With prairie grass fields that stretch throughout the unit and big canyons that can hide deer herds, this is a great spot to find a lot of big mule deer bucks. The river bottoms and ranch land in the west around Lander has a lot of whitetail herds that are getting bigger and producing a lot of trophy bucks.

Most of the unit has rolling hills with low vegetation. There are some rocky outcrops with buttes that rise up out of the prairie. Some deep canyons with a lot of sagebrush have hiding spots that are good for putting on stalk.

Maintained and two-track roads make travel through the unit easier for most of the season. Some private property and big fields in the west can restrict travel in some spots, but most dirt roads lead to the back side of private land.

Prairie grass and sagebrush dominate the landscape throughout most of the area. Juniper trees can be found around the tops of ridges of the deep canyons and along the buttes in the southwestern portion of the unit. Irrigated hay fields are located in the west part of the area around Lander.

Most hunters will camp on BLM land with no permit needed. Lodging can also be found west of the unit in Lander and Riverton.
