This unit is named after the Keyhole Reservoir that can be found in Region A near Moorcroft and Sundance. Mule deer and whitetail are commonly found here, and getting access to private land can be hard.For nonresidents, this area is part of Region A and tags drawn for this area are also valid in: 1, 2, 4, 5, 6
Expect to see thousands of acres of rolling rangeland, long drainages that flow into Keyhole Reservoir and steep gullies and ridges.
This area can be hard for hunters trying to access public land and hunters should see Casper Regional Office for specific area information.
Some crops can be found near creeks with most of the area covered in short buffalo or blue grama grass and sagebrush. A few cottonwoods and willows are next to the creek bottoms with ponderosa pine found on ridges.
Check camping availability at Keyhole State Park. Sundance and Moorcroft have motels, restaurants and gas stations.
