The East Park Reservoir Zone is located to the west of Interstate 5 between Willows and Maxwell.
There is a mandatory hunter orientation the afternoon prior to the opening day. Topics in the orientation will include access to hunting areas, care of your game, and hunting regulations. Instructions will be provided regarding check station requirements.
The elevations are not extreme but the vegetation and ravines of the unit can be barriers to an effective harvest. The unit is a mixture of multiple types of land ownership.
The main access to the zone is Interstate 5 along the eastern side. The Maxwell Sites Road, Sites Lodoga Road and Lodoga Stonyford Road will give access near the reservoir. There are other rads that brand form these giving access.
The vegetation is highly varied throughout the zone ranging from mixed chaparral, oak-woodland, and hardwood-conifer to dense conifer habitats.
Campgrounds are available at East Park Reservoir, Stony Gorge Reservoir, Letts Lake and OHRV-open disburse camping area near Fouts Spring. Much of the surrounding property is otherwise private with no other camping options.
