This unit includes the Spotted Range in Northwest Clark County and Southwestern Lincoln County. Terrain is very typical of the southern Nevada desert and lies within Nellis Air Force Range as well as the Desert National Wildlife Range.

This area is primarily desert sheep country and has limited tags and little hunting pressure, however sheep densities are not as large as other units.

There are low lying valleys with flats that lead up to rocky steep hills and cliffs.

Hunter access may be considered fair at best due to a variety of restrictions. Hunters must become familiar with access restrictions enforced by the Air Force and Fish and Wildlife Service. To gain access to the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR), hunters (and everyone in their hunting party) must comply with all Nevada hunting requirements and then meet the NTTR requirements.

There are modern services located in Indian Springs. One can also camp on the flats with wall tents or campers.
