This unit includes the Pintwater Range in Northwest Clark County and Southwestern Lincoln County. Terrain is very typical of the southern Nevada desert and lies within the Nellis Air Force Range as well as the Desert National Wildlife Range.

This unit is primarily Desert Sheep country. This unit has a smaller allotment of tags and very little hunting pressure with alot of country to cover.

Terrain varies from fairly level, rolling hills on the north end to broken ledges and steep rocky canyons in the central and southern portions.

In general, hunter access may be considered fair at best due to a variety of restrictions. Hunters must become familiar with access restrictions enforced by the Air Force and Fish and Wildlife Service. To gain access to the Nevada Test and Training Range (NTTR), hunters (and everyone in their hunting party) must comply with all Nevada hunting requirements and then meet the NTTR requirements.

Typical of the southern Nevada desert this unit has low creosote brush, blackbrush scrub and some native grass along hill sides.

There are modern services located in Indian Springs, NV or full services in Las Vegas, NV. Hunters can also camp on the flats with wall tents or campers.
