The unit is found in the south-central portion of the state and lies along the Nebraska state line. This area is largely private and tribal lands but DIY hunters will find a few small patches of state-owned land and some decent walk-in areas. Smaller populations of antelope are found here but those with good private access can still be in for a great hunt.

This area has widely broken terrain and many folds and cuts in the landscape. Agricultural lands can be found scattered throughout the unit but are most prevalent in the southern half. Very few public hunting opportunities are available in the unit and hunters would be best off securing private access before applying
Highways 18 and 83 will provide the most direct access into the unit but many county roads spilt from these two highways and wind themselves throughout the unit DIY hunters will find very few public lands but there are a few larger walk-in areas available to hunt, particularly in the northern half.
A mix of short and tall prairie grass for miles in all directions as well as countless species of wildflowers can be found in most areas of the unit that haven’t been turned for agricultural purposes. Very sparse timber which is primarily a mix of Cottonwood, American Elm, Green Ash, and Bur Oak can be found along the riparian zone of the small creek beds scattered across the unit.
There are very few amenities found in this unit outside of a few smaller towns. Hunters should meet all gear needs prior to leaving for the hunt. A few modern lodging options are available throughout the unit but these are limited and can book fast due to their limited availability.
