This unit is found in south-central Wyoming and features a wide distribution of public lands and good numbers of antelope. Antelope can be found scattered throughout the unit and hunters will have some options when looking for a buck.
Good numbers of antelope are found here along with a great distribution of public lands. Hunters will find plenty of areas to hunt here and have the option to move into some remote country to escape pressure as well.
This area has a lot of large sage flats with rolling hills and sandstone outcroppings. There are a few areas in the unit that hunters can gain access to glass longer distances. Even though the land here mainly looks flat, there are plenty of drainages and folds for antelope to find cover in. A small part of the unit has higher elevation with steep mountainous terrain.
Public lands are abundant here and most hunters will not struggle to find huntable areas. An ATV or side-by-side vehicle can be useful here. There are a lot of well-maintained gravel roads as well as a few two track roads that give good entry into to the unit. Roads can become hard to access and impassible with weather.
Vegetation here typically consists of sage and grass with occasional rabbit brush patches in the flats with a few pinyon and juniper trees scattered throughout. A few pine trees can be found at higher elevations, and along the North Platte River and Medicine Bow River.
Hunters can find several developed camping areas at Seminoe State Park or Pathfinder Reservoir. Dispersed camping is available throughout public lands here. Lodging, groceries and fuel can be found in the nearby towns of Hannah, Sinclair and Rawlins.
