Area 66 in Lander, Wyoming, shows promise for hunters with a decent chance of drawing a tag due to an increase in permit allocations. The antelope population is reported to be healthy, with the herd objective met, making this unit a viable option for those looking to hunt for a large buck. However, hunters should be aware of the Lander One Shot Challenge, which may reduce the availability of larger antelope early in the season. Additionally, while there are no doe tag opportunities, understanding the draw odds changes and gateway access issues due to private road closures will prove beneficial.
